Our vacuum bags are mainly manufactured from barrier films produced by our sister company allvac, which shares the company site in Waltenhofen with us. This enables our customers to benefit from the close cooperation of both companies in the development and distribution of modern packaging solutions. Barrier films from allvac are available in numerous types, differing in thickness, transparency and performance. However, they always offer highly effective protection for the products and, in the case of food, an extended shelf life. Short transport routes and fast reaction times between the companies also ensure very fast delivery. This is rounded off by well-established logistics processes, which are the key to our success in the worldwide distribution of our products and make us the market leader in Europe.
ALLVAC films with up to 11 layers
From the classic PA/PE composite film with up to 11 layers, the portfolio includes film types that are extremely puncture-resistant and from which we produce vacuum bags that can be used to package even pointed, sharp-edged bones or screws as bulk goods. Further examples, where allvac films are applied, are bags for cooking or for retaining the freshness of baked rolls as well as bags for cheese maturation.
Sustainability is an incentive for both
The two companies also create valuable synergies in the field of research and development. Both share the laboratory and application technology centre, where individual packaging solutions are developed and brought to market maturity. The topic of sustainability is an incentive for allfo and allvac in equal measure. For example, allvac supplies a high-quality film made from renewable raw materials, from which we manufacture vacuum bags. Bag film without polyamide content is also being tested in order to be able to facilitate the recycling processes of the bags.
