With the VACrenew sealed edge bag, allfo makes a special offer to its customers, because this is an important response to the demand for environmentally friendly products. With this vacuum bag, we do not use petroleum for 67 percent of the material mix. Sugar cane and rapeseed are used instead. We now have a packaging solution in our portfolio that enables our customers to pick up the conscious consumer while protecting food and conserving resources with a high-quality vacuum bag.
For us, sustainability is much more than just a catchphrase, it is rather the setting of goals and an essential part of our self-image. The bag was developed in our laboratory and application technology center.
Here, the new materials as well as the new bag generation and their barrier properties were tested for their resilience and suitability for foodstuffs. We are happy that our VACrenew passed all tests with flying colors.
In numerous test series, our product managers and development engineers have found that the films, in which conventional polymers such as polyethylene are produced using renewable raw materials, differ only slightly in terms of technical functionality from conventional ones. From an ecological point of view, the new bags have comparatively great advantages in terms of greenhouse gas emissions and the consumption of fossil resources.
