High performance vacuum bags made of barrier films guarantee fresh food

ALLFO presents its portfolio at Interpack (Hall 5, Stand 5B01)

As European market leader in the production and sale of vacuum bags made of high-quality barrier films, ALLFO has become indispensable in the butchery trade. But also cheese and milk dairies as well as fish-processing companies are taking an ever-increasing place in the customer file of the Allgäu-based family business. ALLFO will present the products that make up its international conquest as a specialist for packaging solutions at the Interpack in Düsseldorf from 7 to 13 March. “ALLFO’s export share is therefore growing continuously and now accounts for around 60 percent of bag production”, announces Hans Bresele, Managing Director of ALLFO.

Remarkable success curve

The addressees are traders with products for the industry, catering and kitchen supplies. The remarkable success curve is based on the fact that the high level of food packaging, which has long been established not only in the German-speaking countries, is setting the standard worldwide. The certified quality of production, the excellent raw materials, but also ALLFO’s sustainable company policy is equally well received internationally.

High availability and fast delivery

In addition to the prime quality of its products, the Allgäu-based company impresses with the high availability and fast delivery of its bags, which share around 3500 pallet spaces in the company’s own warehouse. A good 200 bag types differing in size, shape and material thicknesses are immediately available in large quantities worldwide. Here, once again, the decades of the company’s experience, which can point to mature logistics processes, proves its worth. The portfolio includes side-seal bags, shrink and tubular bags, as well as cook-in bags and stand-up pouches up to multilayer bags.

Practical opening aids

Many bag types are available with practical opening aids. Aside from the classic zipper, ALLFO scores points with the HookVak, an innovative, food-safe Velcro fastener integrated into the bag. Here, the sealing seam is located above the reclosure, allowing goods to be removed completely or partially. After opening, the bag can easily be closed again by means of the Velcro.

In addition to the classic vacuum bags made of PA/PE composite film, visitors to the fair will also be made aware of the important issue of sustainability. “For us, sustainability is not a reaction but an action, because the preservation of food is a key concern of ours”, Mr Bresele explains the commitment. In Germany alone, around 11 million tonnes of food are still disposed of every year. Vacuum bags with their outstanding protective functions make an important contribution to reducing food spoilage.

Bags made from renewable raw materials

Vacuum bags made from renewable raw materials also play an important role at Interpack. As much as 67 percent of the material mix in ALLFO’s bag types consists of sugar cane and rapeseed instead of crude oil. In this way, the company can offer its customers a packaging solution that enables them to convince unsettled customers while protecting food and conserving resources with a high-quality vacuum bag.
